Welcome to the Women Healthcare Executive Network (WHEN)! WHEN is a Chicago-area organization focused on providing networking opportunities for women in healthcare. Networking and social interaction is our primary goal, and healthcare management is our expertise. Our meetings are informative and stimulating within a collegial and fun environment.
In 2009, WHEN:
- Learned how to dress for success by seeing our officers in a fashion show while we enjoyed wine and appetizers
- Took the architectural boat tour of the Chicago river
- Learned how to write an effective e-mail
- Had a great meal and listened to an up-and-coming comic
- Found out what key elements are the same in all heroes and how that can inspire our employees
- And much much more
In 2010, we have an event planned in Deerfield, we will learn how to powerfully use LinkedIn, welcome local businesses as sponsors of our events, and will honor an outstanding woman in healthcare. Watch our web site as upcoming events are posted for dates, times and topics.
We have also recently established a jobs board and will continue to add benefits and links that we believe will interest our members. We also have a LinkedIn group where our members can post questions for the group to consider and provide answers in real time. We will be tweeting from each event so you can follow along with us, even when you can’t attend.
At recent events we found out which member met President Obama and which member attended the inauguration, which member has a daughter in the Peace Corps and which member is in the forefront of PQRI reporting.
